The strange life

I wonder what to blog. I have so much going on in my life yet I spend more time with the cat than I do humans. Let’s start at the basics 3 books a year is industry standard to publish and make a living at it,. Plus I teach at my local Community College, I teach online in second life, and I occasionally hold classes on my blog. I have talked about things like using Tarot for getting past writers block. But for me I simply don’t have writers block. I have come to the conclusion it is a ploy that means we as writers are procrastinating . I look at Writers block and delve into my one note heaven for all my story ideas. I go back to the outline for what is going to happen next. IF neither of those helps I go to the tarot cards which stimulates the mind with the pictures.

The biggest think that keeps me on track. And my on track world is complicated, is a rigid schedule. Up at 5 am and to the gym, back by 645 grab another cup of coffee and sit down at the desk. From 7-9 I work on whatever is being revisied. From 9-11 I work on first drafts. 11 lunch, 12 onto the editing/copy edit for my authors. 2 pm off to college where I am getting my masters in Creative Writing. then 4 pm I do business. including things like correspondence, sending out arcs, setting up competitions for covers.

Then usually at 2 in the morning I am wide awake and I spend that time working on my young adult books that don’t truly fit into Azure Spider, but they are sweet and I am trying to get the world aware of the amazing world of board games.

Next week, let’s talk about outlines.
